If you have been eligible to take advantage of the 10% temporary wage subsidy, there is an additional report that CRA is encouraging you to complete. The PD27 will assist CRA in reconciling the TWS amounts on your payroll accounts. If you complete this report and submit prior to filing the T4 summary, it could prevent CRA sending you a discrepancy report at a later date. The CRA issued a news release on December 15, 2020, outlining the 2 options for deducting home office expenses during the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic. Employees who worked from home more than 50% of the time over a period of a least four consecutive weeks in 2020 due to COVID-19 will now be eligible to claim the home office expenses deduction for 2020.
